In 2020 I asked her again to help me buy a house; After a long and arduous process of house hunting, we've got a contract accepted, after all inspections been made and with little over a week to the closing date, I called telling her the bad news: I was going to back out of the deal (it was April 2020 right when COVID hit the US)everybody was getting lay off at my job and I didn't think was going to survive the next wave of lay offs.
